We're based in the heart of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds on the farm that Jim grew up on in the village of Tetford. We're an online farm shop and deli that delivers nationwide, locally with our own van and further afield by overnight courier.
Established and run by husband and wife team Jim and Odile Sutcliffe out of our joint love of good food.
We started life during the COVID19 pandemic offering local delivery with ordering via our online shop and since the things have gone from strength to strength with our range of products growing and an overnight courier delivery for customers that are further afield.
We first met over our love of food and knew straight away that we had been made for each other. We are keen home cooks and foodies and can usually be found around food, we even run a supper club in our spare time from our home.
Odile has always been a keen home baker making bread and cakes and even picked up a few prizes at the local village show. It wasn't until the pandemic though that she turned this hobby into a profession and scaled up her converted family recipes for bulk production. Prior to this she owned and ran a beauty salon, that happened to be just across the road from Jim's butchers shop in nearby Louth.......that's how we first met!
Jim has been a butcher for nearly 20 years and was lucky enough when training to work at a very old fashioned business that did everything in house, even the slaughtering. He has expanded his knowledge and honed his skills over they years to become a renowned craftsman. His claim to fame came in 2009 when he won BBC Young Butcher of the Year, although this seems quite a long time ago now....when he had a lot more hair!
Together we found our calling in the food industry and when the opportunity to work together and build this business during the difficulties of the first few months of the pandemic came we grabbed it with both hands.
We won't lie, it's been a tough road and hard work but despite the blood sweat and tears endured we feel that we have created a business to be proud of.
We make, bake and butcher the majority of our products ourselves, complemented by a host of other products for artisan producers. There is still just the two of us in the business doing everything from replying to emails, making bread and sausages, right though to packing and delivery.......with a little help from Jim's mum now and again.
Although it's hard work, very hard at times, being small is important to us. It means that we have our fingers on the pulse and can give each order the personal attention that it deserves.
