Frequently asked questions:


Can I visit your shop?


No, we don’t actually have a physical shop that you can visit. We only have a butchery and bakery preparation area based on our farm and we send everything put for delivery.


Do you deliver?


Yes, in fact we only deliver. Because we don’t have a physical shop that you can visit we only offer delivery, locally ourselves with our van and nationally by courier in fully recyclable insulted boxes.


Can I collect?


No, we don't offer a collection service currently.

Why are local deliveries on set days!

We organise routes to minimise distance, we carefully plan our weekly routes to minimise the distance travelled per drop. That’s why you have a fixed delivery day. It means we may be less flexible than supermarkets which let you choose a delivery day and time, but our deliveries are many times more efficient.

How efficient is it to have a home delivery?


Home deliveries in general are more efficient than going shopping in your own car. Most studies show that the final step, to customer’s doors, is the most energy-consuming stage of food’s journey, although distances are short, loads tend to be small. Exeter University found that because home delivery consolidates many people’s shopping journeys into one, it’s usually much more efficient than going shopping in your own car, and what's more it's temperature controlled.

Can I phone you?


We don't have a phone line, because there is just the two of us we would be constantly answering it so we decided not to have one. You can however contact us via email or instant message on our social media platforms.


Do you take bespoke orders?


Generally no as all the products that we have available are live on the website, but if it's for a special occasion or wholesale please feel free to drop us an email to ask what is possible.


Can I email or message you an order?


Afraid not, all orders need to be placed through our website. It has live stock details and secure payment processing and is open 24/7 so is the easiest way to place an order.


Can I change my delivery day?


If you are one of our courier customers sometimes it is possible to adjust your delivery day by emailing us before your order moves to the 'processing' phase. For our local delivery customers however this is not possible as we have set routes for certain areas to maximize fuel and time usage as part of our sustainable outlook.


Is your packaging recyclable?


Lots of our packaging is fully recyclable, our fold flat local delivery boxes are returnable and we collect each time we deliver so keep them safe and remember to hand back to us, our insulated courier delivery boxes and ice packs are fully recyclable and can go in you curbside collection. Much of our other packaging is recyclable and we are working towards 100% recyclable as soon as possible.


My delivery is delayed, what should I do?

All our courier deliveries are made using temperature controlled boxes, these are designed and packaged to maintain a food safe temperature for a minimum of 48hrs at a 20c ambient temperature. As a result they are able to withstand delays in the courier network and if your parcel is delayed we advise you to take a temperature reading of the contents inside the box when it arrives. if the temperature is in excess of 8c please see our Refund & Complaints page for instructions of how to raise this with us.


How much do I have to spend to get free delivery?


We offer free standard delivery on orders with a subtotal of £60 or more. This is calculated after all offers and discounts have been applied. The only exception to our free delivery policy is during or festive order dispatch window (19th-24th Dec). Remote areas of the UK such as Highlands & Islands incur an additional charge and the threshold for free delivery is £100.


Are your deliveries carbon neutral?


Yes, we offset all the carbon produced by or local and national deliveries.


Do you use green electricity?


Yes, we use 100% renewable energy, the environment is very important to us and we make a conscious decision where possible to support this, like using green electricity.


Can I add to my order after placing it?


Yes you absolutely can, we have an add to order feature that easily allows you to do this, please see the video below for how to use it.

Do you supply wholesale or catering?



We are a tiny business and don't supply much, but depending on your requirements it is possible, please email us to ask.



What allergens are in your products?



All our products have a full ingredients list in their description and the 14 common allergens are clearly marked in bold text. If you require more information please email us.



Do your products contain nuts?



Most of our products don't contain nuts but we do store and handle nuts in our production premises so can't guarantee that anything is nut free. Please email us specifically if you have a nut allergy and we can advise what is possible.

Can I freeze items from my delivery?

Provided that the items is suitable for home freezing, yes. Check our product descriptions to see if freezing is suitable and if it is and you wish to do so then please freeze on the day of your delivery and use within 3 months. We advise that if you aren't going to use a product within 3 days of your delivery to freeze it as although many items have a longer best before date this is the best way to store for longer periods.

Please be aware that products described as "supplied frozen" will partially or fully defrost during transit via overnight courier and as a result should not be refrozen. Items not described as frozen are supplied fresh and are suitable for home freezing on day of delivery and should be used within three months of that date.

We deliver locally and nationwide and have a range of options for you to choose from as detailed below.


Local Deliveries

We provide a local delivery using our own delivery van on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, between 2pm and 7pm, details of your areas delivery day are at the checkout when selecting delivery option. Orders can be placed and added to up to 5pm on the day before delivery.

You'll receive an email to confirm we are processing your order on the morning of your delivery day, then between 1pm and 3pm on your delivery day you'll receive an email to notify you that your order is out for delivery as well as a text message or email, with time slot and the option to send us in flight safe place instructions if you're not going to be in, please leave us a cool bag with ice blocks out to put your delivery in if this is the case. You can also download our delivery tracker app to see where your delivery is.

All of our local deliveries are delivered in special reusable cardboard boxes that fold flat for storage and can be returned by leaving it out on you next delivery. This is in an effort to reduce packaging waste and single use plastic. Please remember to leave them out for us to collect.

We have partnered with a carbon offsetting company who offset all the carbon that we produce making deliveries.

Nationwide Delivery

Nationwide orders are sent in fully recyclable insulated boxes with reusable ice packs via DHL Parcel Uk for delivery on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Please see delivery options at the checkout for available delivery days. You'll get an email to confirm processing and dispatch with tracking information so you can track your order. If you have particular delivery instructions (‘Please leave in porch' for example) please advise us at the time of ordering using the delivery instructions box at the checkout.

On the day of your delivery you will receive detailed tracking information from DHL Parcel Uk with a one hour time slot, we recommend downloading their app to track your delivery, edit your safe place instructions and add your what3words address.

On the odd occasion that the couriers are very busy your delivery may take up to 48hrs to be delivered, although this is not ideal, the boxes will keep your order at a safe temperature for 48hrs and you should receive notification to advise of delivery times.

It is your responsibility to be available to receive your parcel or to make arrangements with the courier for a safe place or delivery to a neighbour.

The Mansion Farm cannot be held responsible for damage to fresh goods, which are not refrigerated or frozen upon delivery, neither can we cannot accept responsibility for addresses provided incorrectly.

Please note it is a requirement of the courier company that we must have the telephone number at the delivery address. Unless you are contacted by us to advise otherwise, your goods will be dispatched on the advised date and will normally be delivered before 6pm.

In the event an item you have ordered is out of stock we will endeavor to contact you, however if we are unable to contact you before dispatch we reserve the right to make a substitution or refund for that item.
